Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Following a crash on a highway in Valencia County on May 31st, 58 year old Patricio Duran is now facing his 7th DWI charge. NMSP officers had responded to Highway 6 near mile marker 19 for a rollover crash, where witnesses reported seeing a shirtless man get out of the crashed vehicle and flee the scene on foot. Officers followed a set of footprints from the crash site and located Duran approximately one-half mile away, attempting to conceal himself in an arroyo. He was booked into the Valencia County Detention Center on June 3rd. He’s been charged with driving while under the influence of intoxicating liquor, leaving the scene of an accident, and driving while license revoked.
