Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – State Attorney General Raul Torrez and the New Mexico Department of Justice are calling on survivors to sexual crimes that took place at the Zorro Ranch to contact the Attorney General’s office. Torrez posted a letter on social media on Tuesday calling on survivors to reach out. The New Mexico DOJ reopened a criminal investigation into allegations of sexual illegal activity at the ranch owned by Jefferey Epstein between 1993 to 2019. The criminal investigation is operating in parallel to an investigation by a legislative committee known as the “Zorro Ranch “truth commission.”
As part of the reopened investigation a search of the ranch took place in March but no further information has been released on whether anything was found. The ranch now belongs to Texas businessman Don Huffines and has been renamed San Rafael Ranch. In his letter Torrez says, “Epstein’s crimes were deliberately stalled, abandoned or compromised by the power Epstein wielded” He also says, “your abuse was systematically disregarded”
Survivors are asked to reason out to special counsel Sean Sullivan at the New Mexico DOJ and calling 505-670-1239.
