Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The lightening caused Hummingbird Fire continues to burn east of Glenwood with zero % containment. Approximately 3264 acres have burned. Overnight firefighters worked the western perimeter in the Gila Wilderness to establish containment lines and keep fire away from the Willow Creek Subdivision. Aircraft was able to get back up in the sky to support firefighters on the ground with retardant and water drops. The fire has now actively moved to the northeast where fire crews are working to slow its spread. Additional resources have arrived in the area to support structure protection in the Willow Creek subdivision. Evacuations continue in GO status for the subdivision area.
