ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A man who was shot Friday evening in Southeast Albuquerque has died from his injuries, prompting a homicide investigation, according to Albuquerque police.
Officers responded to reports of a shooting around 6:30 p.m. near Zuni Road and San Pablo Street SE. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.
Overnight, detectives were notified that the victim had died as a result of his injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. Police have not released the victim’s identity or any information about possible suspects.
