The historic railroad, which operates between Chama, New Mexico, and Antonito, Colorado, will launch the new Oktoberfest Express and The Wagon Train this September. The specialty trips combine mountain scenery, historic steam rail travel, live entertainment, and themed dining experiences.
The Cumbres & Toltec travels 64 miles through the San Juan Mountains, crossing the Colorado-New Mexico state line multiple times and climbing to Cumbres Pass at more than 10,000 feet, the highest mountain pass reached by a steam railroad in the United States.
