Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The NM Department of Transportation announced this weekend that the advanced U-turns recently installed at the Comanche and Montgomery NE interchanges will be named Q-turns. Earlier this summer, NMDOT asked the public for their input on naming the U-turns as Texas calls them Texas Turnarounds, and New Mexicans needed their own name. After about 1700 entries, Q-turns was selected as the new name for the AUTs. The I-25 road construction project is expected to be completed in Spring of 2027.
