Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The first stand alone early childhood center in APS’ district will be unveiled Wednesday evening. A Community Open House will be held at the Duranes Early Childhood Center in NW Albuquerque beginning at 6pm. The historic school site has been transformed into a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to young learners. The facility will serve both New Mexico Pre-K and special education preschool students. The over 36,000 square foot facility will have classroom clusters, playgrounds and specialized support wings. It will also serve as a lab school in partnership with UNM and CNM, providing a unique environment for early academic and social emotional development.
