ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police are investigating a homicide after a man was fatally shot early Tuesday morning in the city’s southeast side.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, officers responded at approximately 3:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex in the 8100 block of Marquette Avenue SE, near Wyoming Boulevard in the La Mesa neighborhood.
When officers arrived, they found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment but later died from his injuries.
APD homicide detectives have taken over the investigation and are working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting.
No suspect information has been released, and investigators have not announced any arrests.
The investigation remains ongoing.
