Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – Santa Fe Police have arrested a 29-year old woman after she crashed into a motel on the 3700 block of Cerrillos Road. Mersi Gonzalez Zamorano, is charged with DWI, Possession of Fentanyl, and other charges after the crash that happened Wednesday morning. When police arrived, she was unconscious and had to be extricated from the vehicle by fire crews then transported to the hospital. Gonzalez Zamorano told police at the hospital she had consumed fentanyl, but thought she was consuming Methamphetamine. She is now in the Santa Fe Detention Center.
A housekeeper at the Econo Lodge reported minor injuries related to the crash and was treated on scene by paramedics. Fortunately the hotel room that the vehicle drove into was unoccupied.
