Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — Organizers say this year’s Roswell UFO Festival drew thousands of visitors to southeastern New Mexico. The annual event was held July 2nd through the 4th and featured vendors, exhibits, live entertainment, costume contests, and activities centered on UFO and paranormal themes. Roswell MainStreet estimates more than 12-thousand people attended the festival, though officials say those numbers are preliminary. The event is one of Roswell’s biggest tourism attractions and commemorates the city’s famous connection to the 1947 UFO incident.
