Santa Teresa, NM (KKOB) – A 2-thousand square mile air travel restriction imposed by the FAA on southern New Mexico including the Santa Teresa Airport was finally lifted Thursday night, according to online news outlet El Paso Matters. https://elpasomatters.org/
The restriction was lifted two days after the FAA lifted the restrictions for the El Paso airport but leaving in place the restrictions for southern New Mexico. New Mexico Congressman Gabe Vasquez, who represents southern New Mexico, says he and other state leaders as well as El Paso leaders are still demanding answers as to why the restrictions were announced in the first place.
The El Paso restrictions went into effect Tuesday night and were lifted 7 hours later.
