Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — SunRay Park’s racing license is officially moving from Farmington to Clovis after a vote by the New Mexico Racing Commission. Western Gaming LLC’s request was approved Tuesday, with license owner Paul Blanchard saying the upcoming end of the Farmington lease made a decision necessary and that Clovis offers new opportunities for the operation. Elected leaders from San Juan County opposed the change, arguing it could harm their local economy. Even with the relocation approved, racing at SunRay Park in Farmington will continue for the 2026 season.
