East Mountains, NM (KKOB) – PNM reports thousands of residents in the East Mountain areas including Tijeras have been without power for several hours. According to PNM the amount of customers affected is over 8,700. The cause of the outage is an issue with a main power line which carries electricity to multiple areas and long distances. PNM estimates power will be back around 8:30 Monday morning. The APS East Mountain schools area on a two-hour delay Monday.
