Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) — New Mexico’s public colleges and universities are reporting another year of enrollment growth. According to the Higher Education Department, more than 115,000 students are enrolled statewide this fall, marking the fifth straight year of increases. Enrollment has grown nearly 15% over the past five years, despite national trends showing declines or fluctuations in college attendance. State officials say affordability programs and expanded access to higher education are helping drive the increase.
