Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –As new Medicaid work rules become effective on January 1st the state of NM’s Workforce Solutions is ready to help with free job search, training and career help. NM’s Health Care Authority is encouraging anyone who received a notice about Medicaid eligibility changes in last week’s mailing to seek out their help. The state is ready to help Medicaid members navigate the new requirements for employment, job training or volunteering. NM Workforce Solutions has 24 America’s Job Center locations in NM to aid members with job seeking, exploring career options, building skills and connecting with employers all free of charge. The federal changes to Medicaid eligibility are effective January 1st when certain adults ages 19 to 64 enrolled in Medicaid will be subject to requirements stipulating 80 hours per month of qualifying work or other activities like education, training and community service
