Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – More details are released over the dismantling of Flock cameras by a man earlier this week who was then arrested when he said he was returning them to the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office. Jevon Martinez, who admitted on social media he was taking down 10 Flock cameras, poles and the solar panels because Sheriff Allen said the county was no longer going to use them turns out only two of the cameras were part of the county contract. The other 8 belong to neighborhood associations. He’s charged with stealing the cameras valued around $16,500.
Martinez was also involved in vandalizing cameras in Rio Rancho and still has a court date for that incident. BCSO also reporting that Martinez has a long criminal history dating to 2003 including arrests for sexual exploitation of children and other serious felony charges. He is still in jail at MDC.
