Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is celebrating their 50 year anniversary in August with plans to celebrate all month long. The first event happens this Saturday. Since its founding in 1976 the IPCC has celebrated Pueblo Culture through creative and cultural experiences. Their 50th Anniversary celebration will kick off with “The Old Road Mural” Public Reception celebrating the 100th Anniversary of Route 66. The multi-dimensional installation shows Pueblo people and places along the “Mother Road.” The reception is Saturday, August 1st from noon to 2pm. Visitors will receive free admission when you mention “The Old Road” reception and will have an opportunity to meet the artists. The mural will be on display through June of 2027.
