Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A possible drowning is being investigated today at Cochiti Lake. The lake and Tetilla Peak recreation areas are currently closed to the public until further notice. Police and Fire Departments are on scene in response to the possible drowning. The Cochiti swim beach and day use area, Cochiti boat ramp and day use area, Tetilla Peak boat ramp and day use area, Cochiti hiking trails, Cochiti Lake Dam, and fishing areas are currently closed to public access. Currently only the Cochiti campgrounds remain open.
