ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Public Schools is inviting families, students, and community members to attend a “Welcome Back to School” listening session ahead of the start of the new academic year.
The event will take place on July 27 at the Alice and Bruce King Educational Complex, located at 6400 Uptown Blvd. NE, and will give families an opportunity to connect directly with district leadership while learning about new programs and services.
APS officials say the evening will begin with a Menu Sneak Peek, allowing attendees to sample and learn about new cafeteria offerings planned for the upcoming school year. Families will also have the chance to tour one of the district’s new electric school buses and learn more about APS transportation initiatives.
The second half of the event will feature a community listening session focused on student services, school priorities, and issues identified through recent student and family surveys. District leaders will be on hand to answer questions and gather feedback from attendees.
