Kirtland, NM (KKOB)- The San Juan County Sheriff’s Office has charged a Kirtland, NM man with murdering his wife and who investigators say he videotaped as she was dying. Jess Patterson is in jail charged with Murder-willful-deliberate-depraved mind without bond, charged with killing his wife 36-year old Lauren Patterson.
Sheriffs deputies answered a call from a teenager who reported his mother was not breathing when they arrived they found Mrs. Patterson dead at the home.
According to the sheriff’s office, Jess Patterson was previously arrested six times in California for domestic violence and once earlier this year in New Mexico.
An autopsy revealed that the victim had multiple broken bones, bruising, and internal injuries. After searching Patterson’s phone, SJCSO said they found a video showing him standing on Lauren Patterson’s chest and videotaped the final moments before she died.
