Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – A major legal hurdle has been removed for Project Jupiter, the large data center development planned for southern New Mexico. The New Mexico Supreme Court unanimously denied petitions filed by environmental organizations challenging aspects of the project’s permitting process, including issues related to power generation and water use.

The court also lifted a previous order that had paused state reviews of air quality and water permits. As a result, permitting proceedings can move forward while construction continues at the project site near Santa Teresa.
