Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)- A pedestrian is dead after being struck by a vehicle overnight in Southeast Albuquerque.
APD’s Fatal Crash Unit is investigating the crash that happened just after 11 p.m., in the area of Utah St and Central Ave N.E. The pedestrian died after being transported to the hospital.
Investigators determined a Chevy truck was traveling south on Utah from Chico Rd N.E. The vehicle struck the pedestrian between Chico and Central. The pedestrian appeared to be crouched in the roadway in a low-lit area of the road and the driver was unable to see him. The driver was not impaired and speed was not a factor according to APD.
