Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – Santa Fe police are reporting an increase in bicycle thefts in the city.
In one case, officers were able to recover a stolen specialty modified bike for a 10 year old boy with cerebral palsy. The bike was valued at $3,800.
Santa Fe Police arrested 26-year old Kristian Dominguez, and 35-year old Jimmy Archuleta, both of Santa Fe, for Receiving or Transferring Stolen Property. Another stolen bicycle was valued at $9,000. Both men are booked in the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
Police recommend to keep a picture of your bicycle and the serial number. Also, use a lock to secure your bicycle when not in use and unattended to prevent it from being stolen.
