Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –New Mexico State Parks will introduce its new mascot, Ranger Rio, at the New Mexico State Fair which begins September 10th. Ranger Rio is inspired by one of NM’s most iconic and adaptable wildlife species, the coyote. The coyote’s blend of awareness, intelligence and adaptability reflects the work of the NM State Park rangers and educators. Ranger Rio will first appear through a series of stickers and educational materials inviting fair visitors to visit any of the 35 state parks. The full character reveal can be seen at their booth during the state fair, September 10th through the 20th.
