ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred early Monday morning in southwest Albuquerque.
According to the Albuquerque Police Department, officers responded around 12:20 a.m. to reports of a fight in the 100 block of La Media Road SW, near Sunset Road and Central Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a man dead at the scene with what police described as obvious stab wounds.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and have taken over the investigation.
Police have not released the victim’s identity, and no information about possible suspects has been announced.
The investigation remains ongoing.
