Santa Fe, NM (KKOB) – A Santa Fe County man is in jail after making threats to a convenience store clerk over several weeks
On Wednesday, police were called to a convenience store in the 5000 block of Las Soleras Drive regarding reports of an assault. There a clerk told them about several incidents dating back to last month where a man identified as Jeramiah Meyer of Santa Fe County had become confrontational over alleged shoplited items from the store, and had threatened to kill the clerk.
Police say that when Meyer went to the store he was denied service by the clerk and once again threatened him. After several hours of reviewing security videos they were able to arrest Mayer who is charged with Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and other charges. He is in jail without bond this morning.
