Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Albuquerque Police are investigating after an infant was found dead early Sunday in north Albuquerque. According to APD, officers were called to an apartment at 6101 Osuna Road Northeast after receiving a report of an unresponsive child. When officers arrived, they confirmed the infant had died at the scene. Detectives with APD’s Crimes Against Children Unit were then called in to take over the investigation. At this time, police have not released details about the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death, including a possible cause. It’s also unclear if anyone else was inside the apartment at the time. Officials say the investigation is ongoing, and more information could be released as it develops.
