Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – There’s good news for fans of Skate-O-Mania in Albuquerque. The longtime roller-skating rink announced Tuesday that it has secured insurance coverage and will remain open for at least another year.

Owners had previously said they could be forced to close in November after struggling to find an insurance provider. In a social media post, the rink said the newly secured coverage will give them time to work on a more permanent solution to keep the business operating well into the future.
Originally opened as Roller King in 1980, Skate-O-Mania says it welcomes between 100,000 and 200,000 visitors each year.
