ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Governor-elect Deb Haaland has launched a new transition website as she begins assembling her administration and preparing to take office following her election victory.
The new website, HaalandTransition.com, will serve as the public hub for the governor-elect’s transition effort, providing updates on cabinet appointments, policy priorities, and opportunities for New Mexicans interested in serving in state government.
According to the transition team, the site will be used over the coming months as Haaland builds her administration and prepares for her first days in office.
In a statement announcing the launch, Haaland said the transition process will focus on assembling a team capable of addressing challenges facing the state and continuing work on issues affecting New Mexico families.
“I will be a governor for all New Mexicans, and that commitment starts today,” said Deb Haaland.
The governor-elect said the transition website will provide regular updates on her administration’s priorities and offer information for individuals interested in joining state government.
The announcement comes one day after Haaland was elected governor, succeeding term-limited Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham.
Transition officials say additional information, including cabinet appointments and administration initiatives, will be posted on the website in the weeks ahead.
