Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Ground was broken on Monday for a new apartment complex aimed at a population of New Mexicans caught between subsidized housing and homeownership. Palindrome Development is replacing a former motel site along Central Ave in West Old Town with La Curva Apartments, a project targeting households earning between $54,000 and $81,000 annually. The first phase of the project will contain 70 apartments with a potential second phase adding another 70 apartments. The state of NM provided developers with a $15 million loan for the $22.35 million project
