Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Two franchise hotels are coming to the Sawmill District. Albuquerque City Council approved tax incentives for the $40 million development during Monday nights meeting. A Hampton Inn and Home2 Suites will go up near Old Town, between the Museum district and the Sawmill Market. The connected hotels will bring a total of 135 rooms to the area. They will be owned and managed by Sun Capital Hotels, a local firm. The ordinance passed on an 8 to 1 vote.
