Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –A life sentence was given to a Roswell man Friday after a jury found him guilty in the July 2024 murder of Nate Ogden in Capitan. Samuel Duran was found guilty of first degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery and impersonating a police officer for the killing of Ogden. According to prosecutors Duran was masked and impersonating a police officer when he broke into the victim’s home, tried robbing him and then killed him. Duran’s co-defendant, Gabriel Thyberg was found guilty in March and also received a life sentence for killing Ogden.
