Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Security concerns were addressed this week by APS officials as students head back to school on Friday. School officials continue to encourage students if they see something to say something. They urge parents to speak with school staff about any security concerns they have and to speak with their kids about security at school. APS will continue a memorandum of understanding with Albuquerque Police Department’s Real Time Crime Center to enhance response times in the event of a situation at one of their schools. New this year APS will implement weapon detectors at football and soccer stadiums to increase security at athletic events.
