Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – Presbyterian Health Plan and Medical Group is hosting two opportunities to receive free school supplies, vaccinations and community resources during a pair of back-to-school events. The first one is this afternoon starting at 3 p.m. and the other is next Saturday August 8th. Children can receive backpacks filled with school supplies while supplies last, along with access to health services, family activities and local organizations offering support for the upcoming academic year. Today’s event is at Health Plan Place Winrock at 2100 Louisiana Blvd NE.
Next week it will be held at Health Plan Place at 6100 Pan American from 8:30 to 11:30.
The city of Albuquerque is having its annual “Cruzin’ Into the School Year” event Saturday Aug. 1. Thousands of free backpacks and school supplies will be given to students while supplies last. The school supply giveaway will be from 10am to 1pm at the West Mesa Community Center at 5500 Glenrio Road NW and the Community Center at 7505 Kathryn Ave. SE.
