Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –Proposals are now being accepted for projects that create, expand, or restore public lands. The Department of Finance and Administration has $37 million now available to expand public lands that New Mexicans can use to fish, hike, hunt and explore. Each proposal must involve a willing seller of land or an interest in land, such as a conservation easement, for public use and natural resource protection. The proposal must also include a state, local or Tribal government that will receive the land and take on long-term management responsibilities. Applications must be submitted through the Department of Finance and Administration and are due by August 21st.
