Las Cruces, NM (KKOB) – The fourth and final trial connected to last year’s mass shooting at Young Park in Las Cruces is now underway. Gustavo Dominguez is charged with three counts of first-degree murder with a depraved mind in connection with the March 12, 2025 shooting.
Three teenagers were killed and more than a dozen other people were injured when gunfire erupted at the park. Dominguez was 17 years old at the time of the shooting but is being tried as an adult. Prosecutors allege he played a role in the violence that unfolded that night. Three other defendants have already been found guilty of first-degree murder in separate trials, although none has been sentenced yet.
The trial is expected to last at least five days as jurors hear testimony and review evidence.
