SANTA FE, N.M. — Free vaccination clinics for children are being offered across New Mexico this summer as families prepare for the upcoming school year.
The statewide “Got Shots” program runs from June 13 through August 29 and provides no-cost vaccines for children from birth through age 18.
More than 60 locations are participating, including public health offices, community health centers, and private practices. Some clinics are offering evening and weekend hours to make access easier for families.
The program is coordinated through the New Mexico Department of Health, along with partner organizations, and is open to all children regardless of insurance status. Officials say no child will be turned away for lack of coverage, though parents are encouraged to bring vaccination records and insurance cards if available.
Health officials say the clinics are intended to help children meet school immunization requirements ahead of the new academic year.
Families are encouraged to check with local clinics for availability and whether appointments are needed. A full list of locations and additional information can be found through the New Mexico Department of Health website.
