ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A popular community event is returning to northwest Albuquerque, offering families a full evening of free entertainment.
Bernalillo County’s annual “Evening in Paradise” is scheduled for Saturday, June 6, at Paradise Hills Park, with activities running from 4 to 8 p.m.
Organizers say the event will feature a wide variety of attractions, including live music, dance performances, games, face painting, and arts and crafts vendors. Attendees can also enjoy a zipline experience and a beer garden.
The evening will conclude with a Movies in the Park screening of the animated film GOAT, set to begin at 8 p.m.
County Commissioner Walt Benson says the event is designed to provide a welcoming and accessible option for families during the summer months.
“I know many families appreciate child-friendly and inexpensive events over the summer,” Benson said. “Evening in Paradise provides a safe and family-oriented celebration with a variety of food, entertainment, and activities for all ages.”
Last year’s event drew more than 2,500 attendees, and officials say they expect another strong turnout this year.
Guests planning to stay for the movie are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets for seating on the grass.
Paradise Hills Park is located at 5801 Paradise Boulevard NW.
