Albuquerque, NM (KKOB)-Albuquerque Police and State Police are investigating a small plane crash Sunday afternoon at Double Eagle II Airport.
At approximately 3:30pm, Albuquerque Fire Rescue was dispatched for a report of a small airplane crash. The first arriving units included Bernalillo County Fire. Fire crews took command and gave a triage report of one person who was on board the plane and was already pulled from the aircraft and reported moderate injuries.
No smoke or flames were present and the patient was transported via Albuquerque Ambulance to a local hospital.
Albuquerque Fir Rescue crews worked with Bernalillo County Fire, Double Eagle Airport personnel, APD, and State Police to address the scene. No injuries to first responders. Law enforcement personnel from APD and State Police secured the scene.
The exact cause of the crash remains under investigation.
