Belen, NM (KKOB) – In Valencia County, Due to potential flood damage, the River Rd bridge (between Belen and Rio Communities) over the river is CLOSED in both directions.
Officials from NM DOT say the road will be closed for the foreseeable future.
NM DOT reports that they are now extending the closure of NM 309 or Reinken Road at the bridge because of concerns around that area due to flooding.
Westbound traffic can use NM 6 via NM 47 to connect with I-25. Eastbound residents will be redirected to the I-25 Business Loop. No date when the bridge will be reopened.
