Las Cruces, NM (KKOB) – Josiah Ontiveros, one of the four convicted shooters involved in the March 2025 Young Park mass shooting in Las Cruces, will serve three life sentences after his court appearance on Wednesday. Ontiveros, is the youngest of the four convicted teens. He was 15 at the time of the shooting. He was convicted of three counts of first-degree murder under a “depraved mind” charge. Two others convicted in the shooting have also received triple life sentences in the case.

Nathan Rivas is the next and last of the defendants to be sentenced. His sentencing date is scheduled for Oct. 9, 2026.
