Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –An update on a deadly shooting that happened in northwest Albuquerque on Sunday night. KRQE is reporting that officers responded to a home on the 6200 block of Sabre Ct. NW near 4th Street on Sunday night for reports of a shooting. APD homicide detectives arrested 64 year old Mark Leib accused of killing his son, 34 year old Matthew Leib. Police said Matthew was with his girlfriend and another friend when the father, Mark, returned home from work, threatening to kill someone. His son’s girlfriend was able to get the father to go to his bedroom but he returned with a shotgun. She told police Mark punched her and threatened to kill her. The girlfriend and the friend then left the home but later returned looking for Matthew. When they arrived the father exited the house and said he killed his son. Police said Matthew died at the scene. Mark was arrested and charged with murder.
