Tucumcari, NM (KKOB) – Tucumcari will be looking for a new police chief as the current chief has just announced his resignation.
Chief Lorenzo Emilio, made the announcement on social media on Tuesday. He has been the police chief in Tucumcari for just over a year. Emilio says his resignation will take effect 30 days from Tuesday. He added that the opportunity will allow him to have much-needed rest, spend more time with his family, and focus on more personal goals and opportunities.
Emilio was appointed as chief last summer, but has been with law enforcement for around 26 years.
