The annual “clean up Albuquerque” event is coming and the city is looking for volunteers to help clean up the city before Balloon Fiesta. The annual Fiesta Fanatics Cleanup event happens Saturday, September 26th from 9am to noon. The City of Albuquerque Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) and Keep Albuquerque Beautiful will provide all volunteers with trash bags, litter pickers, gloves, and safety vests. Groups organizing neighborhood cleanups will also get a free pickup for all collected trash. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up online but walk-ins are welcome at Balloon Fiesta Park on the day of the event. Balloon Fiesta is October 3rd – 11th.
