Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –After a guilty verdict on first-degree murder charges, Gustavo Dominguez has been sentenced to three consecutive life sentences for his involvement in the Young Park mass shooting in Las Cruces. The prison sentence of 90 years came down on Friday. Dominguez was 17 at the time of the shootings in 2025 and was tried as an adult. The shooting killed three teenagers and injured over a dozen individuals. District Attorney Fernando Macias said, “Gustavo Dominguez acted without any remorse, without any hesitation and with blatant disregard for human life.” Sentencing for the other two shooters, Josiah Ontiveros is scheduled for September 30th and Nathan Rivas’ sentencing is set for October 9th.
