Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) –The Frijoles Fire has expanded to more than 4,000 acres with smoke blanketing much of the state’s north central region. In a release last night Santa Fe County Fire Department officials said residents of Camino de Canon, a street in Cundiyo east of Espanola should evacuate immediately. An emergency shelter was established at the Pojoaque Valley Middle School gym. The remainder of Cundiyo and the nearby village of Cerro Pinon have been moved to “Set” status, meaning residents should be prepared to evacuate if needed. The fire is still 0% contained.
