ROSWELL, N.M. — The Chaves County Sheriff’s Office, Roswell Police Department, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are asking for the public’s help as investigators continue working to solve three recent homicide cases in the Roswell area.
Authorities are seeking information regarding the deaths of three men whose bodies were discovered between June and July.
The victims were identified as:
- Kent Hoffmann, born in 1969, whose body was found in the Hondo River Channel on June 14, 2026.
- Andrew Lujan-Huerta, born in 1979, whose body was found in the Hondo River Channel on July 14, 2026.
- Karl Affsprung, born in 1967, whose body was found approximately 10 miles east of Roswell on July 29, 2026.
Investigators have not released information regarding possible suspects or whether the cases are connected. Officials say all three investigations remain active.
