Albuquerque, NM (KKOB) – With increased fire activity, Bernalillo County is reminding residents to sign up for emergency alerts. The Everbridge system is a free service available to people in unincorporated parts of the county and Albuquerque. Subscribers can receive notifications on their phone, email, or landline about fire danger, severe weather, and road closures. Officials say the alerts can provide timely information during emergencies.
However, some people say frequent notifications or non-urgent alerts can feel overwhelming and county leaders say the system can be customized to control how alerts are received.
