CHAVES COUNTY, N.M. — An off-duty Roswell police officer was involved in a crash Monday evening in Chaves County.
According to the Chaves County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the intersection of Darby Road and Main Street around 6:30 p.m.
Authorities say minor injuries were reported, and no one involved in the crash was taken to the hospital.
Investigators determined the off-duty officer will be issued a summons for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
