Alamogordo, NM (KKOB) – Alamogordo police say five teenagers are in custody following a reported armed home robbery. Investigators say the group forced their way into a home and held the homeowner at gunpoint before leaving with a handgun and body armor. One of the suspects, a 16-year-old, is facing charges of aggravated robbery and breaking and entering. The other four teens arrested include two 17-year-olds, another 16-year-old, and a 14-year-old.Because of their ages, authorities have not released their names. Police have not said if anyone was injured during the incident, but describe the robbery as violent.
Officials also have not released additional details about how the suspects were identified or taken into custody. The case remains under investigation.
